International Payment Terms FAQ

For initial orders with new global buyers, we strongly recommend an Irrevocable Confirmed Letter of Credit at Sight (L/C at Sight) or a Telegraphic Transfer structure (30% Advance Deposit with 70% Balance payable against scanned original ocean Bill of Lading and quality inspection certificates). Both options provide maximum security and transparency for both buyer and seller.

Under ICC UCP 600 rules, the buyer's bank will only release funds to Globus Global Trade once we present complete, verified documentation proving that the exact goods have been loaded onto the vessel, passed mandatory laboratory tests (SGS/Eurofins), received official Phytosanitary approval, and sailed within the agreed deadline. The buyer maintains total financial protection against non-shipment or sub-standard cargo.

Under Cash Against Documents (Documents Against Payment – DP), our negotiating bank in India dispatches the original negotiable Bills of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and Phytosanitary certificates directly to the buyer's nominated bank in their home country. The buyer's bank holds the title documents until the buyer pays the full invoice amount, after which the documents are handed over to clear the cargo at destination port.

Yes. While US Dollars (USD) remains the benchmark currency in global commodities, we accept direct settlement in Euros (EUR), British Pounds (GBP), UAE Dirhams (AED) under the India-UAE CEPA partnership, and Indian Rupees (INR) via RBI-approved Special Rupee Vostro Accounts (SRVA).

Telegraphic transfers (SWIFT MT103) typically credit our corporate bank accounts within 24 to 48 hours depending on intermediary correspondent banking desks. Letter of Credit issuances (SWIFT MT700) are acknowledged by our advising bank within 24 hours of transmission, allowing immediate booking of shipping space and production allocation.
